Operation characteristics and control strategy of magnetic bearing variable frequency chillers

Conducts an energy performance simulation of magnetic bearing variable frequency chiller based on the annual field test results, and analyses its seasonal control strategy and operation characteristics during the whole cooling season. The results show that the magnetic bearing variable frequency chiller has better adjustment capability where the compressor efficiency reaches the highest value in the conditions of part load ratio and part compression ratio instead of rated condition. Puts forward some suggestions of operation and management of the magnetic bearing variable frequency chiller during the whole cooling season.
